CMPA’S PRIME TIME IN OTTAWA 2019 LINEUP BRINGS TOGETHER THE BEST CREATIVE MINDS IN THE BUSINESS
 
Ottawa, ON - January 21, 2019 - The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) today announced a stellar lineup of international speakers for its 24th edition of Prime Time in Ottawa. This year’s keynote speakers include EVP & MD, Content Distribution, Fox Networks Group, Prentiss Fraser;  Senior Editor of The Atlantic and author of the bestselling book Hit Makers: The Science of Popularity in an Age of DistractionDerek Thompson; Global SVOD Investor, Operator & Influencer and former Head of Strategy for Amazon Studios, Matthew Ball; and CEO of Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and CEO/Partner of Skybound North Entertainment, Catherine Winder.  The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will also appear in a keynote conversation with Reynolds Mastin, the CMPA’s President and CEO.

This year’s conference will take place January 30 to February 1 at The Westin in Ottawa and registration is now open at primetimeinottawa.ca.

Prime Time 2019 will cover a wide breadth of issues affecting the rapidly changing media industry and production landscape including: developing a framework for the future of the industry, the ins and outs of working with Netflix, diversifying content companies, innovation in audience building, anticipating the consumer of the future, negotiating distribution in a changing marketplace, and more. Delegates will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in conversations and presentations about the latest industry trends and participate in pitching and networking opportunities with thought leaders in the production and distribution of film, television and interactive digital media.
