Dinosaurs, Pirates, Jedis and Wizards Take Over the Family Zone at Toronto Comicon 2019

TORONTO, ON (February 20, 2019) – This March Break, Toronto Comicon is offering fans of all ages three days of discovery and adventure in a newly expanded Family Zone at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from March 15-17, 2019. Now bigger and better than ever with over 10,000 sq. ft. of nonstop programming and its own dedicated event stage, the Family Zone invites guests of all ages to explore comics, sci-fi, cosplay, anime and gaming in an interactive environment dedicated to fandom.

Fans of all ages can head to the Family Zone to choose from a wide range of fun and immersive programming experiences, such as learning about the seafaring life in Pirate School; enjoying the full Hogwarts treatment with a Sorting Hat Ceremony and Quidditch Matches organized by Quidditch Canada; getting up close and personal with the world’s newly discovered dinosaur, Zuul Presented by the ROM; building their very own Lightsabers and much more.

Returning to battle for order in the galaxy are crowd-favourite costuming groups The 501st Legion andThe Rebel Legion, touching down in the Family Zone with exciting demonstrations fit for everyone from the smallest Ewok to the tallest stormtrooper. Plus, Star Wars fans can pay tribute to composer John Williams alongside Toronto violinist Brigit O’Regan, as she performs a collection of his iconic scores.

New this year, fans will have an opportunity to collect stamps in their Toronto Comicon Passports at a number of show destinations for a chance to win exciting prizes.
