Toronto's International Festival of Authors (IFOA) is proud to announce the presenting lineup of authors for the 38th edition of the Festival. Taking placeOctober 19 to October 29 at the Harbourfront Centre, the festival will welcome the world’s best writers for readings, one-on-one interviews, thought-provoking panel discussions, special events and free book signings. During the 11 day event, booklovers will have the opportunity to engage with their favorite celebrated authors and discover emerging literary voices from near and far.
 
IFOA is delighted to welcome award-winning and best-selling Canadian authors André Alexis,Dionne Brand, Liona Boyd, Claire Cameron, George Elliott Clarke, Emma Donoghue, Barbara Gowdy, Helen Humphreys, Frances Itani, Pasha Malla, Lee Maracle, Anne Michaels, Heather O'Neill, Carol Off, Eden Robinson, Seth, David Silcox, Linda Spaldingand Kathleen Winter.
 
Visiting Toronto to present their works are international authors: Chantel Acevedo (USA), Sarah Bailey (Australia), Mark Billingham (UK), Sara Blaedel (Denmark), John Boyne (Ireland), Chris Brookmyre (UK), Mireia Calafell (Catalonia, Spain), Vahni Capildeo (UK), Catherine Chidgey(New Zealand), Setz J. Clemens (Austria), Kia Corthron (USA), David Coventry (New Zealand),Marie Darrieussecq (France), Roddy Doyle (Ireland), Hideo Furukawa (Japan), Mary Gaitskill(USA), Norbert Gstrein (Germany), Nicola Lagioia (Italy), David Machado (Portugal), EduardMárquez (Spain), Maja Vidmar (Slovenia), Immanuel Mifsud (Malta), Sylvain Prudhomme(France), Colm Tóibín (Ireland), Adrian Tomine (USA), and Rohan Wilson (Australia). Spoken word artists Dean Atta and Deanna Rodger (UK) will join local slam poets to offer an immersive experience to all present.

In just over a year, IFOA and the Toronto Arts Council have hosted 25 book launch events, providing support to approximately 60 local authors with career-building presentation opportunities.
