HAMILTON, ON (May 5, 2026) – Oak View Group (OVG) & TD Coliseum, together with The New York Islanders, today announced the organization will officially unveil the team’s name and logo Thursday, May 21 at TD Coliseum. “The unveiling of a team name and identity is a defining moment for any franchise, and we’re proud that TD Coliseum will be the place where that story begins in Hamilton,” said Nick DeLuco, Senior Vice President and General Manager of TD Coliseum. “This event is about more than a logo, it’s about giving fans something to rally behind and celebrating the city’s return to the professional hockey stage.”

Mayor of Hamilton Andrea Horwath, alongside Kelly Cheeseman, President of Business Operations, New York Islanders and UBS Arena; Matt Martin, Special Assistant to the General Manager, New York Islanders; Nick DeLuco, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TD Coliseum; Scott Howson, President & CEO, AHL; and Tom Pistore, President, OVG Canada will be in attendance to highlight the significance of this moment for Hamilton and the hockey community ahead of the franchise’s inaugural season.

In March of this year, the New York Islanders announced plans to relocate its American Hockey League affiliate from Bridgeport, Connecticut to Hamilton, Ontario, beginning with the 2026–27 season. The move was anchored by a long-term agreement at the newly revitalized TD Coliseum. Operated by OVG Canada, the 18,000-seat venue recently completed a $300 million transformation, positioning it as a premier destination for sports and live entertainment.
