FAN EXPO Canada returns in its first full-scale iteration since 2019’s convention, with exciting guests, programming, and events for fans of all ages and interests. With cosplay competitions, celebrity panels, photo ops, community group meet-ups, and so much more, attendees can find something new to see and do each day of the four-day convention. Taking over both the North and South buildings of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from August 25-28, 2022, the annual pop-culture convention brings together fans of all ages with epic guests from the worlds of cosplay, horror, comics, superhero, fantasy, sci-fi, anime, and more in a celebration of all things fandom.
"It’s going to be an exciting four days as we celebrate being back in a big way with our community. Last fall’s LIMITED EDITION was a blast, but it’s great to return to our full-scale gathering,” said Andrew Moyes, Vice President, FAN EXPO HQ. “There’s truly something for everyone this year with celebrity guests from all genres - sci-fi, fantasy, action, horror, comics, and superheroes - in addition to memorable cast reunions and other thrilling events and programming.”
The special guest list keeps growing at FAN EXPO Canada with the addition of Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam, Ryan Hurst, Theo Rossi, and Emilio Rivera. Special guests this year include Lord of the Rings’ Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan; Clerks’ Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Jeff Anderson, Trevor Fehrman, and Brian O'Halloran; Once Upon a Time’s Evil Queen herself Lana Parrilla; Star Trek universe legends including William Shatner, Levar Burton, and Brent Spiner; the man of steel Tyler Hoechlin and ace Daily Planet reporter Bitsie Tulloch; icons and fresh faces from the world of Star Wars including Carl Weathers, Ming-Na Wen, and C3PO himself Anthony Daniels; Her Universe founder actress Ashley Eckstein; time-and-space-travelling superheroes Caity Lotz and Jes Macallan; Canada’s own Dave Foley; and many other prolific guests.
